We are delighted to announce that Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie, in collaboration with Latham & Watkins and the law firms of Shearman & Sterling, Cleary Gottlieb, Omer Abdelati, Sharkawy and Sarhan, and Reed Smith LLP, was awarded the 2018 TrustLaw Collaboration Award by the Thomson Reuters Foundation last week in New York.

The award was in recognition of the firms’ Pro Bono team contributions to the winning project on behalf of 28 Too Many, which conducts research and provides knowledge and tools to those working to end FGM worldwide.

Hearty congratulations to team partner Ozofu Ogiemudia, and to Mary Ekemezie, Dolapo Adesina and all of the members of the contributing team.  Read UUBO’s Report on the law on female genital mutilation (FGM) in Nigeria here: http://testuubo.ckdigital.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/attachments/nigeria_law_report_v1_-june_2018-.pdf.
